By Mutrux Automotive is a longtime Columbia fixture. Cindy and Ross Mutrux’s family owned and operated shop offers full service at the islands, alignments, oil and lubrications, state inspections, brake service and A/C and all types of repair.
Cindy attributes its success to the loyal customers who walk through the doors every day. She says, “Our customers are like extended family in so many ways. From the customer who drives from Ashland for a fill-up and a weekly cream soda, to a local non- for-profit agency that drops off cookies to the garage.”
She says the most important lesson she and Ross have learned from the business is to be honest in everything, and treat everyone with respect.
“It’s always been important to us to live by that golden rule,” she says.
When not minding the shop, Cindy enjoys gardening and glass fusing. She and Ross also enjoy spending time on the gun range and with family and grandchildren.
“Mostly the grandchildren,” Cindy says. “We like to be big kids ourselves!”
