MORGAN SMARR and WADE PINGEL will marry on June 13 at the bride’s parents’ home in Ashland. Morgan is the daughter of Mel and Charlotte Smarr of Ashland. She planto graduate from Columbia College with a business administration degree in December. She currently works in the billing department at Ri-Mor Mulch and Landscape Center. Wade is the son of Donnie and Anita Pingel of Clark. He works as a lineman for the city of Columbia.

LEXIE HOLLINGER and CONNOR DARROUGH are planning an Aug. 8 wedding at Firestone Baars Chapel on the Stephens College campus. Lexie is the daughter of Amie and Mike Niemeyer of Columbia, and the late Rich Hollinger. She graduated from the University of Missouri in May with an elementary education degree and is currently working on a master’s degree in learning, teaching and curriculum while teaching at Derby Ridge Elementary SchoolLexie also works as a receptionist at Pure Barre Columbia. Connor is the son of Tom and Cheri Darrough of Columbia. He plans to graduate from the University of Missouri with a degree in biomedical engineering in December. Connor is an intern at Nanova Biomaterials Inc. Lexie and Connor began dating at Jefferson Junior High School and will have been a couple for eight years when they marry.

 


ALEXIS GRANNEMANand BENNETT AREY will wed on Sept. 5 at the groom’s parents’ home in Columbia. Alexis is the daughter of Jim and Brenda Granneman of Columbia. She graduated from the University of Mis
souri with a business administration degree in May. Bennett is the son of Tracy and Beth Arey of Columbia. He is currently 
working on a business administration degree from the University of Missouri, and expects to graduate in 2016.

 

 

 



DILNOZA HALIK and JUSTIN PATLAN married on Feb. 14 at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Dilnoza is the daughter of Rahim and Rano Halik of Jefferson City. She works as an account manager for Veterans United Home Loans. Justin is the son of Jose and Anne Patlan of Chamois. He serves as a police officer in Columbia. Dilnoza and Justin chose San Miguel de Allende for their wedding because Justin grew up there and it is a beautiful city, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the No. 1 City in the World by Condé Nast Traveler.
