Three Shoe Styles To Try This Summer

Warm weather naturally makes us want to wear lighter outfits, and this includes shoes. Sure, flip-flops might be your go-to, but admit it, they’re not the best solution for all day wear. Read on to learn what three summer shoe styles, under $100, Arches Footwear recommends you consider. We’ve also helped you out with an outfit idea for each one.

Toe-post sandal

The Vionic Rest Bella II uses Orthaheel technology, a unique podiatrist-designed contour built into every pair of sandals. The footbed is designed to hug your arches and support your feet. Vionic sandals are lightweight and reduce stress on feet, ankles and knees. Pair these with a light colored blouse and high waist shorts. To pick up some of the rose quartz coloring in the straps and bow detail, finish with an accessory that has a pink hue. We selected a watch with a blush leather strap and a clutch.

Flat slide

The driftwood grey colored Finela by Lucky Brand is a shoe that’s all about easy transitions. It’s a peep toe slide-on that has the perfect platform height to give you a little lift without the worry of the wobble walk. The slip-on style makes it easy to finish an outfit as you head out the door, or step out of when you get home and want to feel those cool tile floors under your toes. Arches Footwear suggests trying them with a grey short sleeve ruffled T-shirt and loose fitting check pants. Light colored accessories, such as a white leather purse and soft metallic bracelets will let you transition from a work day to a summer evening happy hour.

Tennis shoe

The seasonal shift to dog days means you need a lightweight and breathable sneaker, such as the Fresh Foam Zante v3 from New Balance. The inspiration for this shoe comes from some of New Balance’s iconic models, but they’ve added a modern twist with new technological foam soles and air mesh uppers. Not working on your fitness, but still want to wear a tennis shoe? Try rolling up the sleeves of a denim style blouse, pull on white jeans and add accessories that complement the rose gold color of the shoe, such as an updated phone case or Fitbit leather band.

All three of these shoe styles are available at Arches Footwear on the south side of Columbia, Missouri. The contemporary shoe boutique is located at Nifong Blvd. and Peachtree Drive in Nifong Square, with convenient parking.
