By On Monday, Jan. 17, walk to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a Candlelight Walk And Memorial Celebration in his name. The walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Armory Sports Center, and proceed to the Memorial Celebration at St. Luke UMC where a service will be held. The free event is open to all.
This year’s in-person walk is a welcome return after last year’s “Candlelight March on your own.” Although the 2021 march served to keep MLK’s dream alive, nothing can beat an in-person event and the enhanced sense of community and camaraderie marchers enjoy. Learn more here.
