By St. Louis’ Soulard has nothin’ on us! Newman Parish is throwing a free Mardi Gras festival here with a parade, music and King Cake on Saturday, Feb. 26. Candy and beads to throw into the crowd of onlookers will be provided.
The parade begins at 1 p.m. Saturday and music, hot drinks and King Cake will be available afterwards in the Newman Parish parking lot.
