ElderBlossom View is a 150+ acre winery/orchard and gathering venue in nearby New Bloomfield. The winery is intentionally rustic, with naturalistic grounds and pebbled walkways that owners Heather and John Uhlig envisioned as an opportunity to reveal — rather than conceal — the rocky attributes of the winery’s footprint inside the orchard. For them, the orchard and winery have been a passion project nine years in the making, ever since the first elderberry cutting was planted. The Uhligs see the venture “as an opportunity for them as ‘elders’ to blossom and view their next chapter.” In the fall of 2021, they hosted a Plein Air (outdoor) painting event, their first “brush” with a large-scale public event.
