Assignment: Rural Boone County Farmers
The Location: Northern Boone County
The best time to take photos outside is either early morning and late evening. This is called the “Golden Hour.” It’s a time when the light casts a magical glow over the scenery. When the sun starts to rise or set, the colors are more vibrant and the light is softer. It gives everything a warm and fuzzy feel.
In order to get to my shooting location at the farm on time that morning, I left my house while it was still dark. As I drove these gravel roads, the light began to spread. All the creeks, ponds and lakes in the area had a low fog hanging around the water. I rounded a corner and saw a serene scene across a field. I walked through the dew-covered grass to make my photo.
Everything was quiet and still, just magically peaceful.
