By The Boone County History & Culture Center is hosting a Traveling Trunk family event this weekend.
Anyone is welcome from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday to enjoy the hands-on experience with items from the center’s Traveling Trunk, which includes historic maps and items used by Boone County pioneers during the westward expansion.
At the event, attendees also will be able to hear stories about pioneer travels and how Boone County and Missouri became settled and grew.
