Event Details

Please join Spectrum Health Care for our inaugural year of the REMARKABLE RACE! This exciting event is loosely modeled after the television shows “The Amazing Race”  and “Beat The Clock with elements of “The Hunger Games” thrown in for some added excitement! This year’s event is set in a game show atmosphere that engages the teams in a fun-filled afternoon of fierce and fun competition of mental and physical challenges including trivia, tasks of dexterity, and races. Supporters and spectators at the watch party may purchase “advantages” to assist their team in completing their task. We’ll have snacks, drinks and a cash bar available for $25 donation. Time ends when each task is completed. The team with the lowest time after 10 challenges wins! Cash and prizes to the winners!

Flyers may be downloaded for more information about the agency and promotion about the Race.

Sponsorships are still available and, with each sponsorship, entry tickets are offered depending on your level of donation. Sponsorships of online promotion will also be considered for sponsorship benefits. Please call the office 573-875-8687 or 800-785-2437 to discuss your options.

Spectrum Health Care is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization established in 1992. Our roots are the delivery of compassionate care to those living with HIV/AIDS since 1992. We have grown to include other wrap-around-services including transportation, food, medication, housing and utility assistance to our clients. In 2017, opened our Primary Health Clinic. The Spectrum Clinic operates on a sliding-scale-fee-based system for those who are lower income or uninsured. No one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. We continue to grow deep roots in the communities that we serve to ensure that all Missourians can enjoy the benefits of being healthy. Spectrum Health Care serves thousands of Missourians by providing primary care; STI/STD testing and HIV/HEP C/STI/STD prevention education; case management and housing assistance; and assistance by our Community Health Workers (CHWs) with connections to qualified providers and enrollment in the appropriate health care insurance plans.

As with all fundraising events, proceeds are critical in helping to underwrite these direct program costs not covered by current contracts and grants. Through the generosity of sponsors and the attendees, SHC can continue to provide critical services that help improve the quality of health and life for individuals and families in North Central Missouri. 100% of all event sponsorship dollars, donations, and team fundraising net proceeds will support Spectrum Health Care services not covered by current contracts or grants.

Media passes for the event are available. Please contact Spectrum Health Care Executive Director, Cale Mitchell if you would like to cover the event at (573) 875-8687 or
