THE BOLD ACADEMY TO PRESENT AT GFWC TUESDAY CLUB ON NOVEMBER 7 at Columbia Country Club

The GFWC Tuesday Club of Columbia, MO will host a presentation from The BOLD Academy, a new program in Columbia, MO, on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at The Columbia Country Club.

The public is invited to participate in the luncheon presentation. Contact Marilyn Stone at     573-819-9322 to make a reservation for the event.

Co-founders Dr. Melita Walker, BOLD president and principal at West Junior High School and Crystal Sadler, BOLD vice president and owner of Chrystal L Make-Up and Design will be the presenters.

     BOLD,  Black and Brown Opportunities, Leadership and Development,  is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit  youth empowerment  and  mentoring organization created in an effort to support, nurture  and enhance the leadership skills of  Black and Brown girls  in Columbia. The mission of  BOLD  is to empower and uplift Black and Brown Girls through enrichment opportunities, leadership training, education and positive identity development.

Tuesday Club is an affiliate of its national organization GFWC–the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. GFWC, founded in 1890 during the Progressive Movement, is a national federation of over 3,000 local women’s clubs which promote civic improvements through the volunteer service of its more than 100,000 members.
