The Missouri Symphony: Hot Summer Nights Music Academy

The Missouri Symphony Presents: Hot Summer Nights Music Academy

The Missouri Symphony Hot Summer Nights Music Academy is proudly sponsored by the Zeta Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha and The Missouri Symphony League and it’s just what you’re looking for to engage and inspire your young instrumentalist!

The Academy’s mission is to create a fun learning experience for students who are not well-versed in ensembles. Students will receive daily mentoring by our artistic staff, comprised of Missouri Symphony Conservatory coaches and professional Missouri Symphony Orchestra musicians, under the direction of Maestro Kirk Trevor, Music Director of The Missouri Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory, and Briana Frieda, Assistant Director of the Missouri Symphony Conservatory. The Academy will focus on small ensembles, conducting, theory, history, and orchestra; while encouraging positive social interaction between young instrumentalists. Students will even have an opportunity to conduct the professional Missouri Symphony orchestra at a Family Concert during the Hot Summer Nights Music Festival!
