Total Eclipse of the Sun

Unless you’ve been totally in the dark, you know that a total eclipse of the sun will take place beginning around 11:45 a.m., reaching totality around 1:12 p.m., for a period of almost three minutes, and that Columbia is smack dab in its path. The last time Missouri was in the path of a total solar eclipse was 150 years ago, making this truly a once in a lifetime event! There will be a whole lot happening over the weekend leading up to the eclipse, and Monday viewing events are planned at Cosmo Park and Gans Creek Recreation Area.
