Trot to the Tropics
Beta Sigma Phi, a service sorority in Hallsville, Missouri will be hosting their 4th Annual Trot to the Tropics 5K/ Fish Fry/ Raffle on April 8th 2017 in Hallsville, Missouri.
The event is to honor those that have battled and continue to battle Ovarian Cancer. Donations this year will be made in honor of Mallory Morton, a former Beta Sigma Phi member who passed away in February 2014 at the young age of 26, to the Mallory Morton Ovarian Cancer Endowment at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center at the University of Missouri, towards patient care funds at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, and an annual scholarship in honor of Mallory for students at Hallsville High School.
Our benefit will include a 5K, Fish Fry and Raffle. We are still accepting monetary donations and/or raffle donations. For the raffle, we are allowing guests to pick what items they would like to win by placing their tickets in boxes in front of the items.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to donate to this wonderful cause by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We appreciate any and all support! We have raised over $58,000 and have had over 800 runners run in the 5K the past three years. We are hoping for that number to continue to grow this year.
