By The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri will host its annual Hope for Heroes 5K this weekend.
The event benefits the VIP Veteran Pack program, which provides ready-to-eat entrees, soup, fruits and vegetables, as well as toiletries, to food-insecure veterans in 13 counties. The run/walk is set for Saturday at Cosmo Park, with the opening ceremony starting at 7:30 a.m. and the race starting at 7:45 a.m.
