Serendipity Salon & Gallery announced today they will host the first annual Festival of Trees, a community event to benefit the Voluntary Action Center. The festival will take place from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6 at the Serendipity Art Gallery and Event Center.

The Festival of Trees invites individuals, families and businesses to decorate and donate trees for display and sales. From now until the event’s start date, participants can choose to decorate a live or artificial tree in any theme they like.

All trees will be priced at $25, $50 or $100, depending on the participant’s preference. Awards will be given for Most Festive, Funniest and People’s Choice in three categories: Younger Creators (10 and under), Less Young Creators (11 and older) and Business/Group Collaborations.

The trees will be on display for purchase in the gallery Nov. 30 – Dec. 6, and awards will be announced during Living Windows on Dec. 6. All purchased trees can be taken out of the gallery that evening at 9 p.m. or after.

To participate in the Festival of Trees, sign up online here. For more information, contact Serendipity Salon and Gallery at 573-268-5217 or ej.serendipity@gmail.com.
