Crime of Passion

I have kept this drink in my back pocket for almost 10 years now and adjusted the recipe many times. This is the summer cocktail that I keep coming back to, with good reason.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Cachaca
  • 3/4 oz Passionfruit puree
  • 3/4 oz Lime juice
  • 3/4 oz Orgeat
  • 1/2 oz Demerara syrup
  • 2 dashes Louisiana-style hot sauce

Instructions
 

  • Build all the ingredients in your shaker with ice, then shake thoroughly.
  • Strain into a rocks glass.
  • Top with fresh ice and garnish with an edible orchid flower.
