The Crime of Passsion is the vibrant summer pick from Riain O’Ceallachain, the beverage director at Highball Kitchen & Cocktails. Highball opened this spring on the corner of 9th and Locust Street with brunch, sandwiches, charcuterie and lively libations.


Crime of Passion
Ingredients
- 2 oz Cachaca
- 3/4 oz Passionfruit puree
- 3/4 oz Lime juice
- 3/4 oz Orgeat
- 1/2 oz Demerara syrup
- 2 dashes Louisiana-style hot sauce
Instructions
- Build all the ingredients in your shaker with ice, then shake thoroughly.
- Strain into a rocks glass.
- Top with fresh ice and garnish with an edible orchid flower.
