After a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, Art in the Park returns to Columbia this weekend.

Originally started in 1959, Art in the Park is now the oldest and largest fine arts festival in mid-Missouri. Set for Saturday and Sunday at Stephens Lake Park, the festival features artists from across the country displaying a wide variety of media. Attendees can enjoy unique art while shopping for special gifts or keepsakes, along with hands-on activities, live music and entertainment. Art in the Park also includes the Kid’s Art Spot where children can design tie dye T-shirts, have their faces painted or find something special at the Young Collector’s Tent.

Art in the Park is organized by the Columbia Art League and the festival is free to attend. It runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. For more information, including artist and maker information for those expected to participate, visit the Art in the Park page on the Columbia Art League website.
