EquipmentShare, the Columbia-based equipment rental provider, announced in a news release on Friday that it is officially a public company. The Class A common stock has begun trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “EQPT.”

Founded in 2015 by brothers Jabbock and Willy Schlacks, the company focuses on construction vehicle renting, purchasing and repair.

With recent expansions in Columbia, 373 locations and around $4.4 billion in revenue, Jabbock Schlacks says they are “just getting started.” The goal has always been to transform the fragmented and underserved construction industry, and they are doing just that.
