Since 2015, Love Columbia has given 90 families support and services through their transactional housing program. Now, a 10-unit housing facility for families with children experiencing homelessness is about to open its doors.
Gigi’s Place will open April 8 at 1 p.m. at 1221 E. Ash Street as the latest addition to their Love Forward Homes program. The facility is named for the late Gayla Elaine Miller, “a woman of deep faith, kindness and generosity,” Love Columbia stated.
On Wednesday, attend the free ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m. to hear from Love Columbia’s executive director, Jane Williams, board member Ranita Norwood and Gayla’s husband, Rich Miller. There will be a tour of the facility and refreshments afterward.
