True/False Film Fest Offers Free Community Passes

By Bailey Rizzo

True/False Film Fest, which will run March 5-8 in downtown Columbia this year, is offering a limited number of complimentary passes to low-income households.

The passes are being offered through a collaboration between Ragtag Film Society and Columbia Parks & Recreation in an effort to expand the reach of this local event. Columbia residents with a family household income of less than 185% of the federal poverty level (two-person household: ~$39,000) are eligible for passes.

Recipients will be selected in a random drawing conducted by Columbia Parks & Recreation.

To register for the passes, you can:

  • Submit the online community pass entry form
  • Call Columbia Parks and Recreation at 573-874-7460
  • Visit the Columbia Parks and Recreation office at 1 S. Seventh St.

Registrations will be accepted through Feb. 6, and recipients can expect to be notified by Feb. 11.

There is a limit of one complimentary pass request per two people. Each pair includes two passes for two individuals.

Ticket reservations for passholders open Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. Selected recipients will be required to pick up their passes in person at the True/False Film Fest Box Office at Sager Reeves Gallery (1025 E. Walnut St.) beginning on March 4, with pickup available throughout the duration of the festival.
