Columbia Opens Applications for Civic Boards and Commissions

Community members have until the end of the week to submit applications to the city of Columbia Clerk’s Office for boards and commissions.

Current openings for boards and commissions:

  • Board of Health
  • Building Construction Codes Commission
  • Citizens Police Review Board
  • Disabilities Commission
  • Historic Preservation Commission
  • Personnel Advisory Board
  • Public Transit Advisory Commission
  • St. Charles Transportation Development District Board
  • Tobacco Retailer License Review Board

Applying is a way for residents to get involved in local government and make their voices heard. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Aug. 8 on the city’s website at como.gov/vacancies, or applicants can complete the PDF format online, then print, sign and mail to the clerk’s office.
