Lizzi & Rocco’s Natural Pet Market has temporarily closed the north location for a remodel. The location at 1610 I-70 Drive officially closed at 4 p.m. March 6 and plans to reopen with a new look on March 18.

According to owner Jessica Schlosser, this plan has been in the works since the location was purchased back in 2014. “It’s been a long time coming and will be fantastic when it’s done,” she says. Schlosser says the plan is to rip up the old flooring, give the space a new paint job, relocate the cash register, expand the bakery options, upgrade the self-service dog washes and completely renovate the bathrooms. “We are giving the space a giant facelift,” she says.

Luckily, Schlosser says the customers have been very understanding and patient as the north location remains temporarily closed. “So far people have been really sweet and are excited to see the finished product.”

During the remodel, the south location at 550 Green Meadows Road will remain open with extra staff on hand. Shoppers will be able to do curbside pickup or get free local delivery by ordering online or over the phone. Schlosser says she also is planning to do work on the exterior portion of the building later this spring, but right now, the focus is the interior.
