The Improve I-70 project, which secured funding in 2023, is still underway. The first public hearing on the Columbia section of the Interstate was held yesterday, where it was announced that more lanes will be added in the Rocheport to Columbia section of the Interstate this summer.
Over the Stadium Boulevard bridge, new sidewalks will be added. MODOT warns that the next two years will be the busiest period of construction for Columbia.
