True North of Columbia had its grand opening and ribbon cutting for its new Advocacy Center on Thursday, June 26 at 1901 Pennsylvania Drive, suite A.

According to a press release, this new space will make it easier for the organization to provide safety, shelter, education and advocacy for survivors throughout mid-Missouri.

The celebration had light refreshments, facility tours and opportunities to meet True North’s team and board members. The program also included recognition of the Veterans United Foundation, which supported the purchase and furnishing of the new space.

True North of Columbia is a nonprofit organization that offers services for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, sex trafficking and stalking.
