United Airlines is Returning to Columbia Regional Airport

Columbia Regional Airport

Columbia Regional Airport has announced that starting on Sept. 25, passengers can once again fly with United Airlines.

Travelers flying out of COU will soon have convenient new options, including one daily flight to Denver International Airport and two daily flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport. United Airlines offered these flights in the past from COU to these destinations, but had to suspend service due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a press release from the city of Columbia, a passenger demand analysis from 2024 showed that Denver was one of the top destinations requested at COU and was also identified as the top desired destination by attendees at the City’s inaugural Community Summit held in March 2025.

The Small Community Air Service Development Program Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation has made the flight to Denver a reality again for Columbia passengers.
