A new Thai restaurant has officially opened in Columbia. Ocha Thai took over Just Jeff’s south location at 510 Green Meadows Road, suite 101.

Ocha Thai’s owner Kitt Chompupong previously owned Thip Thai, which operated in Columbia for nearly a decade. The business held a soft opening in late June, offering a limited menu until supplies ran out.

Kitt Chompupong is the husband of Pranlada Chompupong, who owns My Sweet Parlor located in downtown Columbia. According to online records, Ocha Thai applied for its business license on May 11, and the doors officially opened on July 5.

According to a sign posted at the new restaurant, Ocha Thai is currently hiring, offering $12-$15 an hour. To apply for a job, call 573-801-3459 or email ochathaicomo@gmail.com.
