Looking to find the best wings in town? Ready your taste buds for the 32nd annual CoMo Wing Ding, presented by UCP Heartland and sponsored by TUMS. The event takes place at Logboat Brewing Company from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday.

With the help of 30 local celebrity judges, eight restaurants will compete in three categories, traditional (buffalo), dry rub and specialty, the latter of which allows the restaurants to bring their creativity to the table and have some fun. Each category will be judged blindly. Additionally, there will be a People’s Choice Award for guests to vote on their favorites. The eight restaurants vying for the top spots are Como Smoke & Fire, D. Rowe’s Restaurant, Pappo’s Pizzeria & Pub, Dickey’s BBQ Pit, D&D Pub & Grub, After Bite CoMo, Slim Chickens and Wingin Out.

Tickets are $30 for regular admission, which includes unlimited wings, or $90 for a VIP ticket, which includes unlimited wings along with unlimited beer, wine, seltzers and soda. Be sure to get your tickets ahead of time, as prices will increase at the door.

Proceeds will go to UCP Heartland, benefitting children with differing abilities in central Missouri. UCP Heartland has two programs in Columbia, the Autism Services Program at the Columbia Autism Center located at 25 S. Fourth St. and the Early Childhood Development program at the UCP Heartland Child Development Center located at 3804 Santiago Drive.

More information visit UCP Heartland’s website at ucpheartland.org. Ticket purchases can be found at the CoMo Wing Ding Facebook event page.
