Back for its third year, That’s What She Said will be at the Missouri Theatre on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. In this production, nine women from the Columbia community will take the stage to share their stories of success, joy, hardship and overcoming barriers.
Speakers include:
- Ana Garcia, full-time Columbia College student and advocate for immigration justice and language access
- Ava Gunderson, co-owner of Son of a Gun
- Greta Gunderson, co-owner of Son of a Gun
- Shaunda Hamilton, executive director of Boone County Community Against Violence and minority business program specialist at Regional Economic Development Inc.
- Dr. Linda Helmick, assistant professor of art education at the University of Missouri
- Rochara Knight, application and alumni director of St. Raymond’s Society
- Erica Pefferman, chief development officer of the new Flat Branch Bank
- Valerie Shaw, former executive regional vice president of Commerce Bank and lifetime member of the NAACP
- Ayako Tsuruta, Juilliard graduate and local music teacher (piano, chamber music and music theory)
The show will support non-profit charity partner Love Columbia, providing housing and utility support to single moms.
