The 10th annual ROC7k Trail Run hosted by Columbia Parks and Recreation is kicking off this weekend. The trail run, which starts and finishes at Antimi shelter, a reservable picnic area located in the north portion of Cosmo Park, is set for 9-11 a.m. Saturday with packet pick-up and race day registration set for 7:45-8:50 a.m.
While the race is not until Saturday, the $35 registration closes at noon Friday, meaning there will be no registration on the day of the run. The race is chip timed in order to provide awards to the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top three males and females in each age group.
Participants will get to run 4.3 miles filled with scenic twists, turns, hills and challenging terrain. If you registered before Jan. 4, you will get to run while wearing a ROC7k shirt. For more information about the timeline of the run, visit the event page on Facebook.
