From 2-5 p.m. Saturday, bring your new or gently used craft supply donations to Toasty Goat Coffee Co. for their Winter Craft Supply Swap. All it takes to participate is the purchase of a drink or treat.
According to an Instagram post, if you can buy it at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby, chances are it’s a good fit for the event. This includes:
- Inks, pencils, paints, brushes, pastels, erasers, chalks, charcoals and markers.
- Yarn, fabric, thread, embroidery supplies, knitting needles/crochet hooks, thread, patterns, ribbon, quilting tools, sewing machines and sewing notions.
- Scissors, glue guns, soldering irons, craft knives, hole punches, easels, photo equipment, pottery tools and rulers.
- Canvas, watercolor paper, drawing paper, scratch boards, panels, sketchbooks, construction paper and newsprint.
- Glue, tape, butcher paper, sandpaper, cotton swabs, toothpicks, popsicle sticks and googly eyes.
- Beads, jewelry findings, containers, artificial flowers, foam, felt, scrapbooking materials, stamps and ink pads.
- Art/craft instruction books, art/craft magazines and store-bought craft kits.
What not to bring:
- Anything moldy, smelly, dirty, super heavy or in need of repair.
- Small scraps of fabric or old clothes.
- Any hazardous materials (including solvents).
- Antiques or curios.
From 2-3 p.m., only those who brought in items to swap may choose items. After 3 p.m., anyone is welcome to take home as much as they’d like. Items not taken by swappers will be donated or recycled.
