Columbia Farmers Market Brings Back Double Up Food Bucks

By Jane Steinbrecher

The Farmers Market Double Up Food Bucks is a program that matches SNAP funding to help customers stretch their food dollars. SNAP recipients that participate in DUFB can receive up to $25 in food tokens per day to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables.

Last year, the program distributed teal tokens. This year, only the new purple tokens will be accepted from now until August 31st. Bring your EBT card to the Oasis booth to receive your tokens. If you do not receive SNAP funding, be sure to spread the word of this effort to bring Columbians fresh produce and food security.
