Günter Hans European Pub & Café announced it’s under new ownership. After nine years of successful ownership, founder Lydia Melton has decided to turn her attention to consulting and other startup ventures.
Morgan Wright will take over the taps and Bretzel biz just in time for warmer weather and Biergarten gatherings.
The European pub and cafe opened in 2013 in a portion of the old Pasta Factory space in the Herald building at Broadway and Hitt Street. The restaurant serves beer, wine, German-style bretzels, waffles, chocolate, cheese, gelato and other fare. The Biergarten was completed and opened not long after, and the eatery added its Barrel Room in fall of 2019.
