Several wines from Les Bourgeois Vineyards became award winners at a recent international wine competition.

LBV took home 12 medals from the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition, which was held April 13-14 in Southern California and brought together wines from around the world to compete in blind tastings.

LBV’s Riverboat White received double gold awards, while its Pink Fox and moscato won gold awards. Silver was awarded to LBV’s 2019 American Red, 2020 Aromella, 2020 Chardonel, Fleur De Vin, Jeunette Rouge, Riverboat Red and 2020 Vignoles. LBV’s 2021 Solay and 2018 Norton won bronze awards.

“This year’s Pacific Rim International Wine Competition showcased an impressive array of beautiful, high quality wines from the United States, Australia and France,” says Nicole Varner Orue, competition director, in a press release. “The number of interested wineries has increased each year, and continues to highlight the best of North American and Pacific Rim wine producers. We would like to congratulate all the winners on their awards and are grateful for another successful year of championing great wines.”

According to the release, the full slate of judges included 15 renowned people who participated in the two-day tasting event of hundreds of wine entries. The panel included distributors for large wine retailers, winemakers, wine journalists and restauranteurs.
