Three Businesses to Open in The District

By Jane Steinbrecher

Today, The District announced the locations of three delicious-looking new eateries downtown.

Birdies Deli, the sandwich pop-up that has been in the works for over five years, now has a permanent location. Owners Paddy and Chelsea Jernigan will be moving into the space on East Broadway previously occupied by Seoul Taco. The deli will be open for business this winter.

Down the street, Clementine’s Ice Cream teased their opening at 914 E. Broadway.

Clementine’s, a Midwestern ice cream empire, opened in 2014 in the greater St. Louis area, serving small-batch traditional (nice) and alcoholic (naughty) ice cream. The ice cream parlor and brand has been featured on the Food Network, USA Today, Forbes and more, with 11 locations in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas.

Lastly, Sweets N Things will be opening on Walnut. While information regarding opening is not yet available, it’s safe to assume this shop will be a tasty way to treat yourself.
