Hailing from the arid lands of Dallas, Lilyann can’t get enough of Columbia’s unmatched community culture and unlimited outdoor adventures (hiking, canoeing and rock climbing — oh my!). She ventured midwest-ward to discover her talent for design at Mizzou, becoming communications director for KCOU, and getting to work for NASA through her senior capstone. After graduating from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s in journalism, emphasizing in strategic communication, and a minor in art in May 2025, she joined the Zimmer team as a burgeoning graphic designer. Lilyann is still a KCOU loyalist and misses her musical-docent-themed radio show, The Gallery. When not watching video essays on fashion history, designing freelance logos for local businesses, missing three-pointers, reading, scouring Hitt Records for a new vinyl or breaking in her new shoes at CoMo Rocks, Lilyann is compiling music for her playlists and going to local band concerts. Not to mention her other favorite pastimes of drawing tattoo ideas for friends and dreaming about visiting New Zealand. Her party tricks include identifying the year of a movie based on the costuming alone, drawing anything from sight and a stellar Yoshi impression. (Yes, she takes requests — monetary incentives only).
