A Sound Body: A Winter Solstice Celebration Allows for Relaxation

By Inside Columbia
sounds bath and meditation

Take away the holiday stress as we welcome the first day of winter. Honor the season meant for rest and reflection with A Sounds Body: A Winter Solstice Celebration.

Sink into the candle-lit sounds and guided meditation led by Syd Hemwall as she allows you to tune into your body and spirit, releasing any discomfort or stress physically, or mentally.

The event, hosted by Compass Inc., takes place at 7:30-9 p.m. Dec. 21 with a $25 registration fee. Participants are asked to bring an item that reflects the idea of winter, such as books, elements of nature, letters, etc. — all objects are welcome. Also, participants should bring a yoga mat, water, a journal and anything else to allow comfort while sitting and laying down with your eyes closed. Some blankets and pillows will be provided, according to the Facebook event page.
