Youth Mental Health First-Aid Training at the Library

At the Daniel Boone Regional Library, spend the day learning how to connect with, understand and address the mental health challenges in children and teens.

The training will cover:

  • Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges
  • How to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis
  • How to connect youth with help
  • Trauma, substance use, self-care and the impact of social media and bullying
  • Encouraging self-help and other support strategie

Brought to you by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, this training session is completely free, taking place Thursday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Be sure to register on the DBRL website!
