While enjoying a beautiful day downtown, I thought it was my lucky day while jaywalking across Cherry Street. I looked down and saw a penny in the middle of the street. I know most people wouldn’t waste time to stop and bend over to pick up a penny.
It’s pretty much worthless, right?
I mean nickels, dimes and quarters are useful for parking meters. Pennies get you nothing. I thought I could use a little bit of luck that day, so I reached for some hope.
This penny wasn’t going anywhere; it was wedged in a crack in the street, and I struggled with it until a couple of cars started honking at me.
I gave up.
No luck for me that day.
