The owners of Lizzi & Rocco’s Natural Pet Market have announced they will reopen Papa’s Cat Café. According to a post on social media, the last day of Papa’s Cat Cafe’s building lease was Monday, and on the same day, the previous owners of the cafe sold the business to Jessica and Kyle Schlosser of Lizzi & Rocco’s. “We are excited to see them continue the cat cafe endeavor we brought to (Columbia) five years ago,” the post says.

In May, Papa’s Cat Café announced it planned to close permanently in June to focus more on family, though they had hoped to find new owners to continue the cafe. Now, the business is in the hands of the Best of Columbia 2023 winner for Best Pet Supplies/Groomer. Lizzi and Rocco’s posted on social media that the cat café will be open soon, “with our own little flair on it.” Papa’s Cat Café says the new owners have “fun plans in store to make the place their own and help it become even better than before.”
