According to owner Scott Pass, “Nothing beats a hot, scratch biscuit.” In December, Pass applied for his business license for The Biscuit Center. The business, located in Como Cooks Kitchen, is just now entering its soft opening. The menu includes mouth-watering options like cinnamon, strawberry, cheese or just plain classic biscuits.
Pass moved to Columbia from North Carolina 10 years ago. Being from the south, he noticed there was a lack of quick, quality breakfast options in Columbia, especially for those people who don’t have the time to cook or to sit down in a restaurant. While he doesn’t offer walk-in orders yet, The Biscuit Center offers delivery or take-and-bake options.
For those looking to get a taste, Pass will be hosting a Biscuit Brunch in the Community Pop-Up Park at 807 Business Loop 70 East from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 14.
