Veterans United Parkway might soon be the official name of State Farm Parkway. Veterans United (VU) is in the process of applying with the City of Columbia to change the names of State Farm Parkway and East Southhampton Drive from the roundabout to South Providence Road.
The University of Missouri Board of Curators, which owns the medical park across from VU, sent a letter of support in November 2021 for the proposed change.
State Farm Insurance, which previously had about 350 employees at the location, subleased the entire campus on Providence Road on Dec. 1, 2020 to VU.
