With a new restaurant moving in nearby, the Beet Box is breaking out the welcome wagon. Or in this case, welcome party.

Beet Box is partnering with Irene’s BBQ, which recently announced plans to open a physical location in Columbia’s Arcade District, for a “There Goes the Neighborhood” patio party at Beet Box. Set for 6-10 p.m. Saturday, the collaborative effort will include food, drink, music from J. ARTiz & the MO’ Soul Collective, fire spinning and more. The food will focus on a Middle Eastern inspired Texas barbecue, which features whole smoked goat barbacoa, crispy rice tadig, beef heart carne asada and kebabs.

Tickets are $103 each and include food and drinks throughout the night, which will include beers from Logboat Brewing, tequila, mezcal and other cocktails. The event will be held regardless of rain.
