Hawaiian Bros Island Grill announced its opening in Columbia at 11 a.m. Monday. Leading up to the grand opening, first responders, medical personnel, local businesses, academic staff and students can get a free plate lunch on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.
At the grand opening, the first 100 people in line will receive a free T-shirt and a Hawaiian Bros gift card ranging from $25-$500. And one person will win free Hawaiian Bros for a year.
The grand opening comes after construction was put on hold in March. According to 93.9 The Eagle, the construction was halted due to funding issues. Hawaiian Bros is located at the former Jack in the Box location near Grindstone.
Hawaiian Bro’s plate lunch comes with white rice, macaroni salad and your choice of protein, available in small, classic and large sizes. All of the menu items are gluten-free, excluding the macaroni salad and the chow mein noodles on the Pacific Island Salad. And everything is nut-free.
