COVID-19 had an impact on nearly every business in Columbia, but one local nightclub turned the pandemic into a time to rebrand for the better. My House Nightclub at 119 S. Seventh St. will soon be a sports bar, nightclub and concert venue all in one.
For the first time, food will be a part of the My House experience.
Owner Dan Rader says the food will be a game changer. “It opens up the entire daytime, early evening and game day periods for us,” he says.
Rader says he felt the nightclub on its own wasn’t reaching its full potential. “As just a nightclub, it was very limiting and I felt I was leaving a lot on the table,” Rader says, adding that the old venue, “was a place you would go to at 10 o’clock at night,” but the new venue will have something for everyone.
My House will be opening with limited access to the updated facility later this month with the My House Fall Series concerts. The series, which starts Aug. 20, will include Zeds Dead, Steve Aoki, Two Friends and more. The grand opening is tentatively set for the end of August or early September.
