Winter is officially over, this is not a drill! Take advantage of the warming weather this weekend and join the community as the Columbia Farmers Market kicks off the spring season. Experience the transition of the Columbia Farmers Market early spring hours from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. The farmers market is a year-round event, however during the winter months the market has shorter hours, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Enjoy fresh produce, meat, eggs, cheese, honey, cut flowers, plants, artisan items and more from new and old vendors alike, all while enjoying live music from Tex Carroll and free kids activities from the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture.
Alongside the market, Columbia Parks and Recreation, with thecity of Columbia’s TreeKeepers volunteer group, the city’s Tree Board, Columbia Farmers Market and the University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry, will be holding the annual Arbor Day tree giveaway. The giveaway will start at 8 a.m. and lasts until seedlings are gone.
