The Missouri Symphony Orchestra’s Firefly Music Festival continues this weekend, with two planned concerts at the Missouri Theatre.

The Firefly Music Festival is a reimagined summer experience led by the symphony’s music director, Wilbur Lin.

At 7 p.m. Friday, the symphony will perform Clara: Inspiration & Legacy, featuring recently commissioned work by composer Gabriela Ortiz. The symphony’s principle pianist Emi Kagawa will perform Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A before closing with Symphony No. 3, “Organ Symphony.” Tickets range in price from $29-49.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, the symphony will perform Missouri Finest, America’s Best, which will open with a performance of the Star Spangled Banner led by a community vocalist, before going into a variety of works celebrating America, from John Williams’ Superman’s Theme to Stars and Stripes Forever. Tickets range in price from $39-$59.
