Join the State Historical Society of Missouri for free screenings of “The Story of the Ozark Music Festival: 3 Days of Sodom & Gomorrah in Sedalia, Missouri,” by filmmaker and former Sedalia resident Jefferson Lujin. The two screenings are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday with a Q&A to follow, and live music and food trucks will be available between screenings from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The documentary covers the concert-goers in 1974 that flocked to Sedalia for the Ozark Music Festival held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
The screenings are free and reservations are not required, however seating is limited to 200 people per screening. Doors open to Cook Hall 30 minutes before the film begins. The SHSMO parking lot will be closed for food trucks and seating during the outdoor music concert, but metered parking on the street and a nearby public parking garage at the corner of Locust and Sixth streets are available.
