A new Columbia coffee house will open this weekend, but this one is unlike any existing coffee shops in the area. Tiny Town Play Café seeks to serve both parents and their young children through a play space-coffee shop hybrid.

The new business at 901 E. Nifong Blvd., suite B,  plans to open its doors for a grand opening at 8 a.m. Saturday. As detailed in a previous issue of CEO magazine, the café features miniatures of six different businesses for children to play in while adults can enjoy a beverage and supervise at the same time. Using the play space requires an appointment, but solely enjoying the café does not.
