Ready to run (or walk, we won’t judge) for a good cause?

The sixth annual Molly’s Miles is set for 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Molly Bowden Memorial Park, 900 W. Nifong Blvd. The event, which includes a 5K, 10K and a virtual walk/run options, benefits the Missouri Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors, which provides resources to assist families of Missouri law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. The event itself is named after Molly Bowden, a Columbia police officer who was killed in the line of duty in 2005.

Registration is $35 for the 5K, $40 for the 10K and $25 for the virtual run. There’s also a First Responder Challenge where registration is $30. Participants can register until 8 a.m. Saturday for all except the virtual run, where registration cuts off at midnight Friday. All finishers will receive a commemorative finisher medal and awards will be presented for the top three in each age group for both male and female.
